Ukulele Summer Camps June 10-14 & June 17-21
Students will learn the basics of ukulele from a State of Texas certified Elementary Teacher and long-time professional musician. Teamwork, coordination, listening and playing as an ensemble will be emphasized in addition to the history of the instrument and an introduction to the "Aloha spirit" of generosity, compassion and friendliness. Each student will learn songs, strumming patterns, chords and exercises that can be played individually or in a group. Introductions to music theory, Hawaiian music, contemporary music and songwriting will be included. Singing will be strongly encouraged. Students will receive a camp t-shirt and many resources for learning. A final group performance will take place to conclude the camp. Classes are limited, so sign up now!
